4 beautiful earring styles from celebrities

I’ve mentioned a hundred times how important jewelry is but to visually prove my words I decided to collect photos of our favorite celebrities wearing beautiful earrings. Only best pieces of 2010 worn by divas are presented in this post.

If we roughly divide all earrings into four types we’ll have Chandelier Earrings, Hoop Earrings, Stud Earrings and Dangle Earrings. All these you’ll see here on celebrities.

Wearing a statement jewelry

Have you recently noticed jewelry getting bigger, necklaces the size of African tribal chest plates, mini chandeliers hanging off earlobes, or Malteser-sized pearls and beads?. These are all normal signs of the accessory trend du jour, referred to as ‘statement jewelry’. As the name suggests, these bold pieces of bling are designed to make a powerful statement.

Over the past two years, a huge number of jewelry and accessory stores such as Diva and Equip, have cropped up offering affordable costume jewelry. When the Global Financial crisis hit, many put the brakes on shopping for new clothes. Women soon re-discovered the power of accessories. Buying a new piece of jewelry was a simple, effective and budget-friendly way of updating an old look.

To wear a statement piece of jewelry, choose one key piece: a necklace, earrings or a bracelet. By wearing the one key piece, it becomes the focus of your outfit and doesn’t have to compete with any other jewelry. If however you wanted to wear earrings with an elaborate necklace, opt for something small and simple. Uber fashion stylist Rachel Zoe, Beyonce, Eva Mendez, Pink and Melissa George are all members of the statement jewelry fan club.

Key trends we are seeing include oversized gemstones, tasselled charms, chunky metallic cuffs, turquoise stones, tribal influenced chest plates covered in jewels and multi stranded necklaces dripping with eclectic charms and embellishments. When wearing bracelets, there’s no need to stop at one. Stacking two or more chunky bracelets on the one wrist instantly creates an eye catching and fashionable look.

jewelry designer Samantha Wills says about the current trends, “It’s all about vintage sparkle. Knocked back antique metals, emblazoned with crystals. A beautiful juxtaposition of mediums. It has a really old world Hollywood meets vintage feel”. A statement piece of jewelry can be worn to help emphasise or de-emphasise parts of your body. For example women who feel self conscious about their bottom or mid section, wearing a striking necklace or earrings will ensure all the attention is focused up top. Wearing a statement bracelet or anklet would draw attention to your waistline or below.

A statement piece of jewelry is also a great way to dress up a casual look, make an old outfit look new and a clever way to project your personality and individual style. Rihanna tends to wear a lot of hoop earrings. They are usually gold or bamboo. She also likes sparkling dangling earrings. She has really good taste when it comes to them. Just like her fashion style, no one can wear Rihanna’s style of earrings. Her style is simple, but yet so complex.

Jessica Alba does not wear anything that is in fashion, instead she is known for her own style of fashion and a try to wear what she feels comfortable in. she dresses up according to the different occasions and award ceremonies. As thousands of carats of diamonds sparkled on Oscar’s red carpet, we found ourselves mostly staring at wrists. Keira shot to global fame in 2003 after her performance in the films ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy’. Keira has starred in couples of Hollywood movies. Keira Knightley was recently seen at London’ Berkley hotel wearing a beautiful and stunning Van Cliff white gold and diamond Broderie Ring worth more than 70,000 dollars. Finally, Necklaces on Red Carpet

At the Golden Globes in January, large diamond bib necklaces were a surprise star of the red carpet. Beyoncé illustrated this trend best in a show-stopping diamond fringe necklace by Lorraine Schwartz. Other stars with statement necklaces included Elizabeth Banks in Lorraine Schwartz, Amy Poehler in Fred Leighton, Christina Applegate in a yellow diamond flower necklace by Lorraine Schwartz, and Susan Sarandon in long diamond chains by Fred Leighton. Marisa Tomei had the most fashion-forward jewelry of the evening: Sevan’s one-of-a-kind “Zeus” necklace and hand-carved quartz and diamond ring. Although most stars still focused on earrings and bracelets, perhaps the tide has finally turned.

Fergie Style

H. Stern added just a little bit of “sparkle” to the celebrity wedding of singer Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson and actor Josh Duhamel (“Las Vegas”). The couple walked down the aisle wearing millions of dollars worth of one-of-a-kind creations.

H. Stern created the couple’s engagement ring and wedding bands and also accessorized the entire wedding party. H. Stern’s “Stars” engagement ring in the brand’s 18k Noble gold featured a 4 carat diamond and cognac diamond accents, along with a colored diamond wedding band and 18k white gold band for the groom. Each band is engraved with special personal messages by the bride and groom.

During the ceremony and reception, Fergie changed it up, wearing a variety of different outfits and jewelry designs. She wore more than $5 million of H. Stern’s jewelry, including an 80 carat diamond lariat necklace, as well as a rope diamond necklace worn in her hair as a veil, hair pieces, cuffs, and several other designs, too. Not to be outdone, the groom wore H. Stern’s white and black diamond cuff links. Last but not least, the seven bridesmaids in the wedding party wore the Brazilian jeweler’s “Zephyr” diamond hair clips, priced at $3,000 each. H. Miley Cyrus: Too Bejeweled?

This season’s selection of ornament-encrusted gowns present a jewelry dilemma: match your fake gems with real?  Or accessorize with something completely different?  At the recent Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Miley Cyrus tried the first option, pairing her green bejeweled dress with gemstone Harmony earrings and ring from the Diane von Furstenberg by H. Stern collection. Generally, wearing anything from H.Stern is a guarantee of red-carpet success. But this combination is a bit risky.  I can’t help wishing that the dress was without ornamentation. Hollywood Glamour

We are pretty sure actress and sex symbol Megan Fox is not a Transformer, Autobot, Decepticon, or any other kind of robot or clone. But during her whirlwind international tour to promote “Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen,” she seemed to be everywhere, from magazines to the talk shows to the red carpet. Fox certainly ramped up the frequent flyer miles—and brought plenty of Hollywood glamour, fashion, and jewelry looks overseas, too.

On June 9, for example, Megan Fox was at the premiere of “Transformers” in South Korea, and wore an Amrapali 22k gold mesh cuff. On June 15, Fox wore Siera diamond hoop earrings at the London premiere. Passport at the ready no doubt, she then jetted to Moscow June 16, and switched back to Amrapali gold and rose cut diamond earrings. On June 22, Fox was back in Los Angeles at the Mann Village Theatre and wore Siera’s black onyx and diamond cocktail ring.

“Transformers” has received pretty good reviews, but a few stars should be awarded to Siera Jewelry, which has become a favorite of celebs like Halle Berry, Debra Messing, and Mariah Carey.
